It is so beautiful to look out on the fresh winter white of overnight snow. We don't get it that often so when it falls on a Sunday and we can get out to enjoy it before everyone gets into trying to go to work driving without the right equipment (or experience for that matter), this is special. My dog loves it! He was out rooting through the snow, chasing birds and squirrels in for their daily feed, sliding to a skidding stop. I swear, if he could laugh out loud he would.
The "varmits" (squirrels & birds) have spread the word that the feeders are full. They have been here all day plumping up. It is a joy to watch. For those of you who are used to it, or live in it all winter long, forgive my cheap thrill. I'll get over it in about an hour when company from out of town arrives here for a visit. Hpoe the kids are ready for snowman construction.

Yay for snow! I was in Portland to see it snow there, and returned home today to several inches here. Yay for snow!
